Reconstructing Kandinsky

September 15, 2009 | By Andrew | Add a Comment

I wanted to create a Flash animation that essentially reconstructed a famous painting or at least the work of a well known artist. I’m a fan of Kandinsky’s work, so I choose one of his pieces to reconstruct. This work, titled “Orange” is not one of his best known works, but I really dug it and thought it would be fun to animate. I tried to look at it from a unique perspective and imagine how it could be created in “animated fantasy world.”

I used Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash to create this animation.
